Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lakeview Training collects when you visit this site or get in touch about training, and how it's used.

1. Who we are

Lakeview Training is operated by Lakeview Brands, based in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. Contact: hello@lakeviewtraining.com.

2. What we collect

• Inquiry information: if you email us about a training session, we collect whatever you include, typically your name, organization, contact details, and what you're looking for.
• Booking and invoicing information: if you book a session, we collect the details needed to schedule and invoice it, such as billing contact, organization name, and address.

3. How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and plan a training session.
• To schedule, deliver, and invoice booked sessions.
• To meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our hosting provider adds to these pages to count visits. It records page views, referrers, countries and page load times without cookies, and it doesn't build profiles of individual visitors. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

5. Third parties we share data with

We do not share your information with third parties except as required to deliver a booked session (such as a payment processor, if one is added later) or as required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep inquiry and booking records as long as needed for scheduling, accounting, and tax purposes, consistent with Canadian record-keeping requirements.

7. Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it for legal reasons. Email hello@lakeviewtraining.com to make a request.

8. Search Console

I use Google Search Console to see how this site shows up in Google search, such as which searches bring people here and which pages appear. It reports on search results, not on what you do on the site, and it doesn't place anything in your browser.

9. Newsletter signup

The newsletter form at /newsletter/ and the contact form at /contact/ are the only places this site collects anything,. If you use the newsletter form, I store your email address, which site you signed up on, the time, the wording of the consent you saw, your country, your IP address and your browser type. That record lives in a database at Cloudflare. I keep it because Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) means I have to be able to show that you asked to hear from me. To check that you're a person, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a short check in your browser. I use your address only to send this site's newsletter, and I don't sell it or share it. Every message will have an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me at hello@lakeviewtraining.com to delete your address and the record at any time.

10. Contact form

The contact form on the contact page, and the short enquiry form on the home and training pages, are the second place this site collects anything, after the newsletter. If you use one, I store the message you write, your email address, your name and organization if you gave them, the course you picked and the number of people if you added them, the page you wrote from, the time, your country, and which wording you saw beside the form. I don't store your IP address or browser type with the message. The form runs a Cloudflare Turnstile check to confirm you're a person, which uses your IP address for that check and for a per-hour limit on how often one connection can send. The limit keeps only a scrambled version of the address and no message. The message lives in a private database at Cloudflare, and I use it only to reply to you and to plan a session if you book one. It isn't added to a mailing list, and I don't sell it or share it. You can ask me at hello@lakeviewtraining.com to delete your message at any time. If you use the book-a-call link, that goes to Cal.com, a scheduling service, and anything you give there is handled under Cal.com's own privacy practices. This site receives nothing from it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will always reflect the latest version.
